چکیده

In this talk, we present the role of a local effect in the coexistence of mobile populations whose interactions are governed by a rock-paper-scissors game in spatially extended ecosystems. With different values of relative parameter between migration and local habitat suitability on large sizes, we do some simulations and find that coexistence is broken near the critical mobility Mc, but is occurred again for high mobility M > Mc. From these results, we found that species react sensitively depending on their environment.

Spiraling patterns in evolutionary models inspired by bacterial games with cyclic dominance1

Understanding the mechanisms allowing the maintenance of biodiversity is a central issue in biology. Evolutionary game theory, where the success of one species depends on what the others are doing, provides a promising framework to investigate this complex problem. Experiments on microbial populations have shown that cyclic local interactions promote species coexistence. In this context, rock-p...

How community size affects survival chances in cyclic competition games that microorganisms play.

Cyclic competition is a mechanism underlying biodiversity in nature and the competition between large numbers of interacting individuals under multifaceted environmental conditions. It is commonly modeled with the popular children's rock-paper-scissors game. Here we probe cyclic competition systematically in a community of three strains of bacteria Escherichia coli. Recent experiments and simul...

Improved Profitability and Competition in Two Level Supply Chain by Non-Cooperative Games

This article by modeling a non-cooperative dynamic game tries to improve profitability and competition. This paper has considered how the manufacturer interacts with multiple competitor distributors. Each distributor also determines the optimal distribution price and inventory replenishment policies to maximize their profits. The issue form a non-cooperative dynamic game. Distributors formulate...

How turbulence regulates biodiversity in systems with cyclic competition.

Cyclic, nonhierarchical interactions among biological species represent a general mechanism by which ecosystems are able to maintain high levels of biodiversity. However, species coexistence is often possible only in spatially extended systems with a limited range of dispersal, whereas in well-mixed environments models for cyclic competition often lead to a loss of biodiversity. Here we conside...

Heterogeneity in Connectivity of Habitat Networks Saves Stable Coexistence of Competing Species

The nature realizes stable biodiversity, even though it escapes naive theoretical predictions. Coexistence of competing species is known to be facilitated by, for example, structured populations, heterogeneous individuals, and heterogeneous environments, which in one way or another allow different species to survive in a segregated manner. In reality, individuals disperse and interact with each...
